Participatory Arts and Social Action Research (PASAR) project engagement and dissemination event

On 31 January 2019, the Participatory Arts and Social Action Research (PASAR) project, led by Dr. Umut Erel as PI, had an engagement and dissemination event at Rickmix theatre in London, with 130 attendees. This consisted of a play by research participants based on their experiences of the No Recourse to Public Funds Policy, a part of the hostile environment policy. The participants showed their performance, which was followed by Forum Theatre interventions and a lively discussion on the policy and surrounding issues of immigration policy. The feedback was very positive, with attendees sharing that they found they gained a 'deeper understanding' of the policy and its effects on families. they found the event to be 'very powerful'.
