Two new publications by Allan Cochrane and colleagues
Professor Allan Cochrane recently published two new books with colleagues, arising from two ESRC-finded projects.
Lived Experiences of Multiculture. The New Social and Spatial Relations of Diversity was published by Routledge, authored by Sarah Neal, Katy Bennett, Allan Cochrane and Giles Mohan. The book comes out of an ESRC funded project on Living Multiculture that was based at the Open University and located in OpenSpace. A paper by the same authors entitled Community and Conviviality? Informal Social Life in Multicultural Places and arising from the same project was also published in Sociology earlier this year.
The University in its Place: Social and Cultural Perspectives on the Regional Role of Universities was published by Springer in May, authored by John Brennan, Allan Cochrane, Yann Lebeau and Ruth Williams. It too comes out of an ESRC funded project on Higher Education and Social and Regional Transformation, which was based at the Open University.
